The price depends on specific factors: the room capacity in BTU, equipment model and brand, whether it is a single split or a multi-split system, the pipe run between indoor and outdoor units, and access to the outdoor-unit location. That is why the visit and quote are free: an honest figure comes after seeing the space.
As a starting point, allow 600 to 700 BTU per square metre in a standard room with a 2.5 m ceiling: a 12 m² bedroom will typically need 9,000 BTU and a 25 m² living room 18,000 BTU. Increase this for west- or south-facing rooms, large glazed areas or top-floor spaces.
Yes. In public-facing spaces such as restaurants, shops, offices and industrial premises, we install ventilation and fresh air systems. At home, maintenance has the greatest impact on air quality: clean filters retain dust and provide cleaner air, while dirty filters reduce efficiency and make the system work harder.
In a Portuguese condominium, the façade and structural walls are common parts under Article 1421 of the Civil Code. Fixing an outdoor unit there, or drilling through it for pipework, affects a common part and requires approval from the owners’ assembly.
For homes, one service a year is usually enough. Commercial systems used every day need shorter intervals. Work on the refrigerant circuit must be carried out by a certified technician under Article 9 of Decree-Law 145/2017.
